I was blessed with the opportunity of meeting Michael Sanders to take pictures of his recent completed project. That completed project was his Volkswagen Bug.
When first pulling up to the vehicle I noticed the actual color of the vehicle changes depending upon the angle and if the sunlight is hitting it. The VW Bug could be black, purple or midnight blue with an extended exhaust and a couple bright blue racing stripes.
We went to a few different locations to capture some of the recognizable spots in Wichita with this vehicle. The one location we both wish we had a chance to shoot in front of was the Keeper of the Plains. At the time of the shoot, sadly it just wasn’t possible due to the amount of people there.
